SDR Fabrications LLP is a family run metal fabrication and installation company. We offer in-house design services, bespoke metal fabrication, structural steelwork, machining, finishing and batch manufacturing.
We are industry accredited for health, safety, environmental quality and traceability.
Bristol based, we are located on the M5/M4 corridor, allowing us to work both regionally and nationally.
We are committed to providing exceptional customer service and reliability. We handle jobs of any size and approach each project with the same level of dedication and attention to detail.

Shawn started his fabrication career in 1981 undertaking a five-year engineering apprenticeship with the specialism being fabrication.
At that time he was working in his Dad Dan’s fabrication business – Western Stainless Fabrication. After Shawn completed his apprenticeship and his Dad closed his business, he went on to work for a company subcontracting to cruise ship operators, working on galley fit-outs along with deck railing and gates.
In 1999, with another fabricator, Shawn decided to start up on his own in a small 1,200 sq ft workshop on a farm.
He has worked hard to build the reputation of the company and look after a variety of new and repeat customers, ranging from regional and national water utilities companies to cruise ship operators along with the food, marine, leisure and petrol chemical industry.
We moved to larger premises in 2014. This not only doubled our workshop space but allowed us to expand the services we offer and invest in new machinery and equipment.
We plan to move again to larger improved premises in Spring 2023. This will double our existing workshop and office space and improve our employee welfare facilities.
The move will allow us to improve our stainless steel workshop and enable us to have a separate machining workshop. We will also be able to invest in our recruitment and mentoring of trainees.

Our team has a combined experience of over 100 years, which gives us the confidence to deliver your next project to the highest standards.
