Trash screens

Trash Screens -A trash screen or debris grille is an essential element in the fight to protect water pumping stations from water-borne debris such as logs, animals, or foliage that may be present in the watercourse or river channel. The trash screen prevents this type of debris from entering the intake and causing damage to penstocks and sluice gates during heavy water flow and floods. Trash screens are also fitted to storm drain outflows and inflows.

We fabricate and install (if required) trash screens to meet our clients’ specifications. We can also carry out a site visit to offer advice on Environment Agency design specification and operation.

Eel Screens – An eel screen is a critical defence that protects structures such as dams, weirs and sluices by preventing eels from entering and causing damage. It also allows eels to migrate safely past the structure. The screen is placed at intakes and outfalls to ensure maximum effectiveness.

We have the expertise and expertise to fabricate and install (if required) eel screens to meet our clients’ specifications. We can also carry out a site visit to offer advice on Environment Agency design specifications and operation.

Sack Screening

Sack screening – Sack screening is an effective solution for preventing solids from moving downstream and polluting surface water following heavy water flow. The sack screen is placed directly in the flow of the fluid being screened, and the solids are collected in the sack.

SDR has the expertise and capability to fabricate and install (if required) sack screening to meet our clients’ specifications. We can also carry out a site visit to offer advice on Environment Agency design specifications and operation.

BAFF Screen – A BAFF screen, which stands for Biological Aerated Flooded Filter, is an effective solution for preventing micro-plastic particles from entering the watercourse. The screen can be fitted to ensure that the watercourse remains clean and free from pollutants.

SDR have the knowledge and experience to fabricate and install (if required) BAFF screening to meet our clients’ specifications. We can also carry out a site visit to offer advice on Environment Agency design specification and operation, ensuring that our clients have the best possible solution for their needs.
